The place in history
Vizitsa is a protected traditional settlement of western Pelion, built above the Pagasetic Gulf. Its stone lanes and concentrated group of archontika preserve the form of prosperous mountain domestic life.
Together with nearby Milies and Pinakates, Vizitsa helps reveal how households, churches, squares, paths, and cultivated slopes formed a connected cultural landscape.
