Ζωντανά τεκμήρια · Living records

Our Own Documents

This ledger lists what the family itself holds and what it still lacks. A record is entered as held only once the file lives in this archive; everything else is kept open, with the archive where it should be sought.

Chapter III

Deposit a document

Κατάθεση τεκμηρίου

Upload a birth certificate, register extract, church paper or scanned photograph straight into the family archive. Files are stored privately and shown only to those who hold the family password.

Documents are stored privately. Only unlocked family members can file, view or remove them.

Chapter IV

How to add a document

Πώς κατατίθεται ένα τεκμήριο

Φωτογραφίες

Photographs and portraits

  1. 1Open the chart that shows the person — My Branch, the Family Union chart or any family cluster.
  2. 2Select their card to open the detail panel.
  3. 3Enter the family photo password to unlock the photo archive.
  4. 4Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP file under 5 MB and upload it.

Photographs are stored privately and only documented people can carry a portrait. Portraits of living people stay in the archive together with their masked dates.

Πιστοποιητικά και μητρώα

Certificates, registers and archive findings

  1. 1Open the Research page.
  2. 2Choose the ancestor the document belongs to.
  3. 3Record the hypothesis, the archive holding the document and the progress so far.
  4. 4Save the entry — it appears in that ancestor's detail panel and in the village archive sections.

Every saved entry is kept in the family database and dated, so a lead can be followed later without losing the trail.

Χειρόγραφα

Documents that need transcription

  1. 1Photograph or scan every page, including the back of the sheet.
  2. 2Note the issuing church or authority, the register number and the date shown on the document.
  3. 3Send the scan with that note so the record can be entered and the ancestor's dates corrected.

Until a document is read, the fact stays labelled as family testimony with documentary verification pending. Nothing is published as certain before the paper is seen.
